It answers the 9 PM no-heat call, and books the truck.
FrontIQ answers every call, text, and webchat: sorts the emergency from the tune-up, books the arrival window, captures make, model, and age, and follows up on the quote. Not an answering service. The work, done.

Where the calls go today
The first freeze
One overnight low turns a normal Tuesday into a day of no-heat calls. Your techs are already booked and nobody is at the desk.
After hours
Furnaces fail at night, in the cold. The call that decides whether you get the job comes in at 9 PM, not 9 AM.
Mid-job
Every call that lands while a tech is in a crawlspace or on a roof is a call nobody picks up.
A missed call in HVAC is rarely a small one. A diagnostic visit is a few hundred dollars; the system behind it is five figures.
From “my furnace is blowing cold” to a tech dispatched and the job written down.
When the call ended, so did the work
- Sorted as a no-heat emergency, 28°F overnight
- Arrival window booked, 8 to 10 PM tonight
- On-call tech texted the address and the symptom
- Make, model, and age captured: 14 years
- Flagged as a replacement lead for the morning
- Confirmation text sent with the window
An answering service would have taken a message and left you to dispatch it. FrontIQ got to a dispatched tech, a written-down job, and a flagged replacement lead, and nobody at your shop touched the phone.
Your triage rules, applied the same way on every call.
Written once
Put your triage rules, priority tiers, service area, and escalation path in plain language. They become a Flow the agent runs on every call, text, and chat.
Run every time
The same triage at 2 AM on the coldest night of the year as at 10 AM in April. No answering-service script, no new dispatcher to train.
Written down as it happens
Make, model, age, symptom, address, and access notes land in the record while the caller is still talking, not after someone types up a message.

Pet grooming is our first vertical and the only one whose logic ships in the box. HVAC shops run on the same engine with their own rules written in. Here is exactly where that line falls, so you can decide before you sign up rather than after.
Live today
- Answers voice, SMS, and webchat, 24/7, with one shared conversation context.
- Books into your calendar during the call and sends the confirmation text.
- Creates a customer record for every call, text, and chat. No CRM required.
- Runs your own rules as a Flow: triage, priority, service area, escalation.
- Outbound SMS: arrival-window confirmations, maintenance-season reminders, quote follow-up.
Not shipped
- →A packaged HVAC Vertical Skill. Pet grooming is the one vertical whose logic ships in the box today. For HVAC your triage and dispatch rules are what you write into a Flow. That is how the first HVAC shops are running it.
- →Live ServiceTitan or Jobber integrations. FrontIQ runs on your phone number alone and keeps its own customer records, so you do not need one, but if a write-back into your field-service software is a requirement, ask us where it stands before you buy.
- →Outbound voice. Follow-up goes out as SMS, not as calls.
Live before the next cold snap.

Questions HVAC owners ask us first.
Can FrontIQ tell an emergency from a routine call?
It follows the rule you write. Most HVAC shops write something like: no heat plus an overnight low under 40°F goes to the emergency queue and texts the on-call tech; a tune-up request gets booked in the next open window. You define the line, and the agent applies it the same way every time.
Does FrontIQ work after hours?
Yes, and that is most of the point. It answers at the same speed at 2 AM as at 2 PM. Furnaces fail at night, and the shop that picks up gets the job.
Does it integrate with ServiceTitan or Jobber?
Not today. FrontIQ works with just your phone number and keeps its own customer records in the built-in Customer Inbox, so you can run it without any field-service software. If writing back into ServiceTitan or Jobber is a hard requirement for you, talk to us before you buy rather than after.
Is there an HVAC version of the product?
Not as a packaged Vertical Skill: pet grooming is the only vertical whose logic ships in the box today. What HVAC shops use is the Flow: you write your triage, priority, and service-area rules in plain language and the agent runs them on every interaction. Everything else (answering, booking, the customer record, outbound SMS) is live now.
What happens on a call from outside my service area?
Whatever you tell it to do. The usual rule is to take the details, say plainly that you don't cover that area, and log the caller rather than booking a truck you will have to cancel.
Can it spot a replacement lead?
It captures make, model, and age on the call, and you can write a rule that flags anything past a certain age for a follow-up. A 14-year-old system limping through January is a system-replacement conversation, and it should not be sitting in a voicemail box.
What does it cost?
Free at $0 with 20 calls a month, then $99 for 100 calls, $199 for 275, and $299 for 500. A call is one conversation up to ten minutes, so a long booking call costs the same as a quick question. Paid tiers meter overage per call rather than cutting the phone off: $1.50, $1.25, and $1.00 respectively.
