Built for heat pump and high-ticket install contractors

It qualifies the lead, books the site visit, and chases the quote.

FrontIQ answers every call, text, and web inquiry: checks the address is in your service area, asks the sizing questions, books the in-home visit, answers the rebate question, and follows up on the quote for as long as it takes.

Where install leads leak

The lead arrives once

A homeowner researching a heat pump calls three contractors in an afternoon. The one who picks up books the visit. There is no second call.

The questions repeat

Own or rent, ducted or ductless, square footage, current system, rebates, financing, timeline. The same eight questions on every call, and they have to be asked before a visit is worth booking.

The close takes weeks

A five-figure quote does not close on the phone. It closes on the fourth follow-up, six weeks later, and that is the step that quietly gets skipped.

One install is worth more than a month of service calls. Losing one to voicemail is a different kind of miss.

What the agent does on the call · Illustrative example

From “I’m thinking about a heat pump” to a qualified visit on the calendar.

Caller“Hi, I’m looking into replacing my gas furnace with a heat pump. Do you do that?”
Alder Heat Pumps · FrontIQ“That’s all we do. A few quick questions so I can book the right visit. Do you own the home, and roughly what square footage are we working with?”
Caller“Own it, about 1,900 square feet. It’s got ducts already, furnace is from the nineties. And are there still rebates for this?”
Alder Heat Pumps · FrontIQ“There are: a federal tax credit plus local utility programs, and we handle the paperwork. I’ll have the estimator walk you through the exact numbers on the visit. I have Thursday 10 to noon open for a free in-home site visit. Does that work?”

When the call ended, so did the qualifying

  • Address checked against the service area
  • Homeowner confirmed, not a renter
  • Ducted, 1,900 sq ft, 1996 gas furnace
  • Rebate question answered, caller flagged as incentive-driven
  • Free site visit booked: Thursday, 10 AM to noon
  • Record created; quote follow-up sequence queued

An answering service would have taken a name and a number. Your estimator opens Thursday’s visit already knowing the square footage, the ducting, the current system, and what the homeowner cares about.

Runs your playbook

Your qualifying script, asked on every inquiry.

Qualifies before it books

A site visit costs you a half day. FrontIQ asks your qualifying questions first and only books the visits worth driving to. Renters, out-of-area addresses, and tyre-kickers get logged instead.

Answers the rebate question

Federal tax credits, utility and city rebates, financing programs. Write your answers once and the agent gives them on every call, flags the caller as incentive-driven, and hands anything specific to you.

Follows up for as long as it takes

The quote follow-up sequence runs on its own (day 3, day 10, day 21, day 45) over SMS, until the homeowner replies or tells you to stop.

What’s live today, and what isn’t.

Pet grooming is our first vertical and the only one whose logic ships in the box. Install shops run on the same engine with their own rules written in. Here is where that line falls.

Live today

  • Answers voice, SMS, and webchat, 24/7, with one shared conversation context.
  • Runs your qualifying script as a Flow and books the site visit into your calendar.
  • Creates a record for every inquiry, with the answers attached. No CRM required.
  • Outbound SMS: visit confirmations, reminders, and multi-week quote follow-up sequences.

Not shipped

  • A packaged HVAC or heat pump Vertical Skill. Pet grooming is the only vertical whose logic ships in the box today. Your sizing questions, service area, and rebate answers are what you write into a Flow.
  • Load calculations or system sizing. FrontIQ collects the inputs (square footage, ducting, zones, current system) so your estimator starts from a filled-in sheet. It does not size the equipment.
  • Live ServiceTitan or Jobber integrations, and no outbound voice: follow-up goes out as SMS.
FAQ

Questions install shops ask us first.

We only do installs, not repairs. Does that matter?

It changes what the agent is for. An install-only shop is not triaging emergencies; it is qualifying leads and protecting the estimator's calendar. FrontIQ runs your qualifying questions, filters out renters and out-of-area addresses, books the site visit, and then chases the quote for weeks. If you also run a service fleet, the HVAC contractor page covers the dispatch side.

Can it answer questions about rebates and tax credits?

It answers from the answers you write. Incentive programs change and vary by city and utility, so the agent repeats your current wording rather than improvising, flags the caller as incentive-driven in the record, and hands off anything specific to a person. Do not point it at a tax question you would not answer yourself on the phone.

Will it stop booking visits outside our service area?

Yes, if you write that rule. The usual version checks the address against your counties or cities, and for anything outside it takes the details, says plainly that you don't cover that area, and logs the inquiry instead of putting a half-day drive on the calendar.

Can it size the system or run a load calculation?

No. It collects the inputs (ducted or ductless, square footage, number of zones, current system and age) so whoever does the sizing starts from a complete sheet instead of a callback. The sizing stays with your estimator.

How does the quote follow-up work?

You write the cadence, and it runs over SMS. A common shape is day 3, day 10, day 21, and day 45 after the quote goes out, stopping the moment the homeowner replies or asks you to. Every reply lands in the same customer record as the original call.

What does it cost?

Free at $0 with 20 calls a month, then $99 for 100 calls, $199 for 275, and $299 for 500. A call is one conversation up to ten minutes, so a long survey-scheduling call costs the same as a quick question. Paid tiers meter overage per call rather than cutting the phone off. For an install-only shop the call volume is usually low and the value per call is high, so the free or $99 tier covers a lot of ground.
